This stamp is from SUs Cool Cat stamp set. I have many friends that love cats so I decided to get a head start on birthday cards for them. This one is also for a color challenge at SCS. This was my first time to use my Nestabilities for a mask to sponging the center of the sentiment. I like the way it looks and how easy it is so I will be doing it a lot more. The dp is by MAMBI and come is monchromatic packages. I bought the black and a package of the red. The solids are Rose Red, Always Artichoke, black and white. I used some Swarovski crystals for the eyes and some sheer swirl ribbon to finish it off.

Pink Chocolate Kiwis Color Challenge Card
I decided to make a get well/encouraging card for this challenge. The Time Well Spent set is new to me even though it is retired. I water colored the little butterfly with ink. I used Pink Passion, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip ink and paper. The sentiment is a computer font. The dp is by KI Memories and is actually a Christmas paper but it went with the colors I needed. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the background and cut the Top Note die and Nestabilities. I added a few Prima flowers with a brad and finally used the big bite my son gave me for Christmas. I love it. It is much easier to use than the Cropadile and more versatile.

Easter Card for Card Sketch Challenge
This Easter card was made for last weeks sketch challenge at SCS. I love all the PSX stamps. They may have still been in business if I stamped back then. At least that is what my dh would say. I stamped it with black Stazon and used SU markers to color it. The patterned paper is Bo Bunny. The cardstock is certainly celery and summer sun. I used my new MS border punch and Prima flowers and Swarovski crystals to embellish it.

Divine Design Challenge
I just found this challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.com called the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge. These are my first two submissions for January and February. The January card is for our encourager conference in June. I used a JRL Designs stamp for the image and a printworks stamp for the scripture. I cut and embossed the scripture with my nestabilities and used the threading water punch for the scallop. I hid a little piece of black card stock under it. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the paper. I embellished it with some MS ribbon and a Prima flower and pewter charm.

Valentine for Mom
I made this card for my mom. The colors and the lady remind me of her. She loves Paris. I used the SU stamp set Friendship's Journey along with a computer font for the sentiment. I used my nesties to cut the frame and sentiment. The Paper is SU Certainly Celery and Almost Amethyst along with Basic Grey's Urban Couture. The flowers are Prima and the pearls are from Kaiser Crafts. Since I make jewelry I have a bunch of charms that I have collected over the years. This one is brass. Now if I can just figure out how to make a masculine Valentine for my dh.

Origami Box
This is my first challenge that I did from Splitcoast Stampers. It is the Origami box. I used Paper Adventures paper and cardboard. The instructions for the box part are in pictures so it is easy to get confused as to whether you should open the paper back up when you go to the next step. If you try it use junk paper first until you understand it. I wasted two good sheets of paper :-( The sentiment was done on the computer. The bee stamp is from SUs In Full Bloom and the flight trail is from PTI Little Lady set. I used my heart Nestabilities to cut and emboss. I used my SU markers and Copic Spica clear pen to color the bee. I will be making more of these for Daniel's (ds) Bible teachers. They look like they took a lot of time but are really easy. I am filling mine with Kisses!

Computer Sentiment Set
If you are like me you may have a hard time stamping perfect sentiments. It seems like they are the hardest thing to stamp with a solid clean print. Plus it is hard to find just the right sentiment in the right font. So I started using my computer for verses and sentiments. You can use any color and make as many as you want! For this set I used an olive type to match the Amy Butler paper. The hardest thing about computer sentiments is getting the right color since the monitor does not always match the outcome. The bracket label is cut from my new nestabilities labels set. The stamp is from Inkadinkado Bold Baroque set. Have a great New Year!
