Black Ambrosia Challenge Card

This is for the Ways to use it Challenge today at SCS. The challenge was to use black paper and embellishments. Use it with another main color to make it pop. I used the oramge accents along with black paper for framing everything and the butterfly and paper lace. I love Basic Grey and this Ambrosia line. Especially the butterfly paper.

Gold Bling Wedding Cornish Heritage Farms Card

This is for the gold challenge for the April mini challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. My son is getting married soon so I wanted to make him a special card to put his gift in. I used real Swarovski crystals for the bling. You gotta have "diamonds" and bling in Vegas, baby! The mini challenge has a Vegas theme so I though this was appropriate.

Stamps: Cross - Cornish Heritage Farms, Sentiment - Happy Harmony
Paper: Vanilla, Gold Vellum, Gold solid
Ink: Top Boss
Accessories: EP gold, crystals, slot punch, corner rounder, marvy corner punch, ribbon, cuttlebug embossing folder

Pink Chocolate Unity Card

After

Before

Does anyone else tear they cards apart several times before they are done? This week it seems like I am doing that for every card I make. I changed the background paper for this card and it made a big difference. This is the first time I have used the Flying Beauties by Nestabilities. I am not sure how to use them as a stencil. I sponged glue on the velum while the die was still on and then sprinkled glitter on.

Stamps: Unity
Paper: Basic Grey dp, Old Olive, Chocolate chip, Red Riding Hood, Pretty in Pink, Velum
Ink: Brown Stazon
Accessories: Nestabilities, crystals, ribbon, Sizzix die

Silver and White Cross Card

This is for Thursday's challenge over at SCS. You had to use foil somewhere on the card. I got this foil card stock for my Christmas cards last year. Since it was silver the only thing that came to mind was a wedding card for this challenge. This was another card that I took apart 3-4 times to try to get it right.

Stamps: Happy Harmony, Inkadinkado cross
Paper: White, Silver foil
Ink: Top Boss
Accessories: EP silver, Cuttlebug die and folders, ribbon, Nestabilities

This card would have been quick except for the sentiment. I used microsoft word and it took me a while to figure out how to get the layers to print right so you could read the brown type well. I used my Big Bite again and I love it. I like it so much better than the Cropadile.

Paper: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, So Safron, Paper Adventures dp, white
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Brown Stazon
Accessories: Dimensionals, Prima flowers, brad, Nestabilities, thread, dauber, ribbon
