Heart Blossoms Birthday Card Challenge Day 7

Today I used the SU Hearts Blossom set. This is an older set but I have used it several times in the last few years and is one of my favorite sets. The paper is from Basic Grey. I used the MFT Wonky border that I got from my son for Mother's Day. I love their borders - it may be the start of another brand to collect!

Today I decided to make something besides a birthday card. I make so many birthday cards because they are the kind I need most often. I used the SU Bulbs in Bloom set for my challenge. Check out the challenge here and join me by posting a link to your card below.

Challenge Day 5 - Embrace Life Birthday Card

Today I used the SU Embrace Life Set for day 5 of my challenge to use all my stamp sets in one year. I paired it with some Memory Box paper that has an Asian flair. I colored the image with Copic markers and added a birthday sentiment with a computer font.

Challenge Day 4 - Brocade Basics Card

Sorry for the late posting. We are finishing up the school year and had a lot to do tonight. Today I used a Copic marker to shade around the SU ink. I tried it first with sponging the SU ink around the image but it was just not the right color. I used R81 and a colorless blender. It worked fine and did not smear the ink. This is the second time I used this set and I really like it. I sanded the stamps a bit so they gave a clearer image.

In a Pear tree Day 2 Challenge

I made it through Day 2 of my challenge today. I was stumped on what sentiment to put on this card made from the SU In a Pear Tree set. After finally deciding what to write I realized that even though I like the images in this set I will probably never use it again. So it is off to the sell pile. This is the second time I have used this dotted background technique and I love the effect. Hope you have decided to join me in my challenge. Please post a link to your card below.

Stamps: In A Pear Tree
Paper: Basic Grey Fruitcake dp, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Memento Brown
Accessories: Copic markers, brads, ribbon, Labels 14, Nesties long rectangles, computer font, MS punch for inside
Techniques: Dotted background

Stamping Challenge

I decided a few weeks ago I should try to use all my Stampin Up! sets this summer. If I don't I should sell them because I will probably never use them. So I am thinking of doing this with all my stamps. Can I use them all in 1 year? So starting tomorrow I will be trying to use all my stamps - at least 1 from every set and then if I stay on track I will move on to the single stamps and clear sets. If I make it to next summer I will give away one of the sets I don't use and sell the rest! So please join me. I would love to see what sets the challenge compels you to use. Post a link in the comment section daily so I can see your progress, too. Hopefully this will make me a more faithful blogger :-) The pictures are just a portion of the stamps I have. Oh, and I built the shelves myself!
