Bee Knees Valentine

Today's card is another Valentine using Copic markers. The sentiment is a computer font and the ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. You can join their monthy ribbon club. It is so much fun getting that surprise package in the mail. Monthly ribbon club assortments are selected and pre-packed to reflect a specific theme, color, or holiday season. The assortments vary from month to month, but an average assortment has 5-8 different ribbon styles and consists of 10-15 yards of ribbon.

Flourishes Peach Birthday Card

I learned a costly leason today. You cannot sponge over Copics with SU ink. The sponge will pick up the Copic color. So after I ruined the first peaches I made sure my mask covered every bit of ink and I colored the stems at the end. Whew!

Butterfly Birthday Card

This is my latest Copic card. Coloring with Copics is very different than watercoloring. I love the way the Copics blend. They are much more forgiving than watercolor. For the butterfly I used V09, V12, V15, E00 and E02, E33. I used G21, G24, and G28 for the leaves and the same violets for the flower along with R00, R02, RV11 and R08. I did not have the peach colors I wanted so I was trying to get the flower to look more peachy. I just ordered R30, 32 and 35 so that should help next time! Paper is Memory Makers Boho Chic and Elegant eggplant, Always Artichoke and White. The rhinestone are Kaiser and ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The stamp set is SU God's Beauty.

High Hopes Valentine

This is my second time to use Copic markers. I usually use ink to watercolor. Copics are so much faster. They don't have to dry between layers of color. There are several technique video on the web to show you how to shade with the Copics. This is my first High Hope stamp. I love the bug stamps that they have. They are so cute!

Stamps: High Hopes bee, Verve Sentiment
Paper: Black, Real Red, Paper stack dp
Ink: Momento Black, Summer Sun

This is my first flourishes set. I have admired them for a long time but since they has a sale at New Year's I had to buy one!
