Easter Card for Card Sketch Challenge

This Easter card was made for last weeks sketch challenge at SCS. I love all the PSX stamps. They may have still been in business if I stamped back then. At least that is what my dh would say. I stamped it with black Stazon and used SU markers to color it. The patterned paper is Bo Bunny. The cardstock is certainly celery and summer sun. I used my new MS border punch and Prima flowers and Swarovski crystals to embellish it.

The stamp for this card is by Whipper Snapper designs. I am really starting to be partial to these whimsical stamps. I used a blender pen and ink pads to color the image. It gives a much more soft look than SU or Copic markers. The sentiment is a computer font from this software I bought for a deal on Ebay. It is by Creative Memories and called Heritage, Vintage and Retro. It has some great fonts and I got it new for $5.00! The printed paper is Paper Adventures. The Card Stock Certainly celery and ballet blue. The ribbon tag die is a Spellbinders die. And I used a Fiskars punch for the border.

Divine Design Challenge

I just found this challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.com called the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge. These are my first two submissions for January and February. The January card is for our encourager conference in June. I used a JRL Designs stamp for the image and a printworks stamp for the scripture. I cut and embossed the scripture with my nestabilities and used the threading water punch for the scallop. I hid a little piece of black card stock under it. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the paper. I embellished it with some MS ribbon and a Prima flower and pewter charm.

My submission for February was dome using kraft paper, pink pirouette, chocolate chip, white and a scrap of burgundy that was in my stash. The dp is Dee Groenig paper. I embossed above the MS cornice punched edge with a Cuttlebug folder. The stamp is Holly Pond Hill by Uptown. The butterflies are two different Martha Stewart punches and are embellished with rhinestones. I will be sending this to a friend I have not seen for over 15 years. I hope she likes it!

Valentine for Mom

I made this card for my mom. The colors and the lady remind me of her. She loves Paris. I used the SU stamp set Friendship's Journey along with a computer font for the sentiment. I used my nesties to cut the frame and sentiment. The Paper is SU Certainly Celery and Almost Amethyst along with Basic Grey's Urban Couture. The flowers are Prima and the pearls are from Kaiser Crafts. Since I make jewelry I have a bunch of charms that I have collected over the years. This one is brass. Now if I can just figure out how to make a masculine Valentine for my dh.
